Measure your baseline
Ten quick questions score five areas: confidence, self-worth, social ease, capability and resilience. You see the gap between today and the person you want to be.

Selfscript is a mental-rehearsal coach for your phone. A 2-minute diagnostic measures your self-image; 3-minute daily rehearsals and an evidence log move the number.
How it works
Your self-image is a set of beliefs about what you're like. Selfscript gives you a number for it, a daily practice to change it and the evidence that it's changing.
Ten quick questions score five areas: confidence, self-worth, social ease, capability and resilience. You see the gap between today and the person you want to be.

Guided "Theatre of the Mind" sessions walk you through the moments that matter (a pitch, an interview, a hard conversation) in vivid first person, step by step.

Each morning pick one small target. Each evening rate the day and log a win. Your score and streak show the change in numbers, not vibes.

Why it works
Selfscript combines three techniques with decades of evidence behind them. Results vary; the practice is what counts.
A meta-analysis of 35 studies found that rehearsing a task in your mind reliably improves how you perform it, especially for tasks with a thinking component.
Driskell, Copper & Moran (1994), Journal of Applied Psychology.
People who mentally simulated the process of reaching a goal studied more and did better than those who only pictured the outcome. Every Selfscript session is built this way.
Taylor, Pham, Rivkin & Armor (1998), American Psychologist.
Across 94 studies, "if X happens, I will do Y" plans had a medium-to-large effect on goal attainment. WOOP goals in Selfscript end with one.
Gollwitzer & Sheeran (2006), Advances in Experimental Social Psychology.

FAQ
Selfscript is a mental-rehearsal and self-image app for iPhone and Android. A 2-minute diagnostic scores your self-image across five areas (confidence, self-worth, social ease, capability and resilience). Short guided rehearsals, WOOP goals, daily check-ins and an evidence log then help you change that picture and track the change.
You vividly imagine yourself doing something, step by step and in first person, before you do it for real. Research on mental practice shows this improves real-world performance, and rehearsing the process (not just the outcome) works best. Selfscript sessions start with a short relaxation induction, then walk you through the steps.
Selfscript is inspired by the ideas in Maxwell Maltz's Psycho-Cybernetics, that your self-image sets the limits of what you do, combined with modern research on mental practice, mental contrasting (WOOP) and implementation intentions. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the author's estate.
About 5 minutes: a 30-second morning target, a 3-minute Express Rehearsal or a 5–10 minute Theatre session, and a 1-minute evening check-in.
